Ticket Request FAQs

Borussia Dortmund has introduced a new ticketing platform and process for international fan clubs. Fans must be an active member of Borussia Von Bay for a minimum of one year before requesting tickets through our fan club. Please see the FAQs below for details.

What is new about the ticket request process?

BVB has introduced a new ticketing system through the Fan Club Account. From now on, fan club chairpersons will submit all ticket requests directly in the Fan Club Ticketing section instead of sending email requests.

How do I request tickets via Fan Club Ticketing?

Borussia Von Bay members can email requests via borruisavonbay@gmail.com. Please use the following subject line template: [Ticket Request] Wolfsburg/Sept 21/2 Tickets

Can members submit their requests directly in the platform?

No. Only the fan club chairperson can submit requests, manage payments, and distribute tickets. To be eligible to request tickets, members must have at least one year of active Borussia Von Bay Fan Club membership.

When do I need to submit a request for tickets?

Submission windows can be short and may open as early as two months before a match. To improve your chances, submit requests as soon as fixtures are scheduled.

Does submitting a request guarantee tickets?

No. Ticket allocations depend on the number of requests, stadium capacity, and the specific match. We always do our best to secure tickets for as many members as possible.

Ticket availability for Champions League and DFB-Pokal matches is very limited. Please reach out to the chairperson as early as possible so we can check availability and advise on the likelihood of approval. Typically, request deadlines are within a few days of the fixture schedule release.

Can I get tickets to away matches?

At this time, we are unable to process away ticket requests. We recommend you purchase tickets the day they go on general sale.

What if our fan club is planning a larger trip?

For groups of 15 or more members, the chairperson can contact BVB directly in addition to submitting the request. This may allow us to receive feedback earlier, making it easier to organize travel.

When will I know if my ticket request is approved?

Ticket allocations are made at least one day before the members’ ticket pre-sale for that match. Once tickets are allocated, the reservation will appear in our Fan Club Account, and you’ll receive an email notification.

How do we pay for tickets?

Once tickets are reserved, payment must be completed online through the BVB Ticket Shop using PayPal, credit card, Giropay, or SEPA direct debit. Members provide their payment details to the chairperson, who will complete the transaction.

What happens if we miss the payment deadline?

Reservations are time-limited. If payment is not made by the deadline, tickets will be canceled and offered to other BVB fans. Extensions or late payments are no longer possible.

How will we get our tickets?

Most tickets will be sent digitally by email after payment. In special cases, a mailing address can be provided during checkout. Tickets are generally issued closer to the match date, so don’t worry if they don’t arrive immediately after purchase.

Why am I no longer receiving confirmation emails after submitting a request?

The system no longer sends confirmation emails after requests are submitted. Instead, active requests can be viewed by the chairperson under “Your Submitted Ticket Requests” until the end of the requesting deadline. Soon, the requested tickets can also be viewed after the deadline.

Can we still buy tickets outside the fan club allocation?

Yes. Fan clubs can also purchase tickets during the general sale, though matches are often sold out by then.
